WHAT IS THE AUSA HOOPS AAU TOUR?

Twice a year, in April & July, the NCAA sets aside a few weekends for college coaches to recruit high school basketball players at AAU tournaments.

AUSA has taken more than 100 players over to the US for an intensive training camp prior to competing against some of the best players in the US for college scholarship opportunities.

It is a trip that is solely focused on basketball - we don't go to Disneyland.

Our players go there with the goal to prove they have what it takes to play college basketball in the US.

BEHIND THE SCENES

WHY AAU?

AAU is the testing ground for all US high school basketball players.

It is similar to the Australian club system but is a series of tournaments rather than an extended season.

Our teams play in NCAA certified tournaments designed specifically for college coaches to scout high school players.

At the tournaments AUSA teams play at, there could be anywhere from 100 to 1,500 college coaches scouting for players.

Watch this documentary trailer to get a glimpse into what AAU is and why it is so important.

If you find another program with an alumi list like this, you should play for them.

Many families sign their child up to play in tournaments; believing that just because their child is travelling to the US to play; that they will be seen by coaches, this is simply not the case.

AUSA Hoops have the experience and knowledge among their administration and coaches to ensure not only that their teams will be showcased at tournaments that matter but also provide honest and realistic feedback about your expectations.

The staff went above and beyond what we would have expected. The attention to detail that AUSA demonstrates during the planning of their tours is second to none.

We are extremely grateful to AUSA Hoops for the work that they have done for our family

JENELLE & PERO CAMERON

Parents of Tobais

I am sure you guys have been told this many times but what you do is truly great, how you do it is equally impressive. The environment that you surround these kids in is something that will never be found where we come from. From a family that is in awe of your commitment to kids that want to achieve, we are definitely thankful for being given the opportunity to have our son in your care over the past couple of months.

He has come a long way since he first went down to Sydney and we saw an amazing amount of growth in his maturity when he arrived home recently.

DEANNE PARSLOW

Mother of Harry

Thank you again for your relentless pursuit in finding Noah this incredible opportunity for which we will be eternally grateful.

We wouldn't be here without your help, your connections and and the sacrifices to help him attend three trips with AUSA.

I couldn't be more proud of him.

WHAT AUSA PARENTS ARE SAYING ABOUT OUR AAU PROGRAM

THE PROGRAM YOU PLAY FOR MATTERS.

HAVE THE RIGHT PEOPLE BEHIND YOU

Have a support system for when it gets tough on tour.
Have coaches who understand the AAU playing style.

Be part of a program that has helped more Aussies play D1 college basketball in the past few years than any other program in the country.

ENSURE YOU DON'T GET LOST

Getting a scholarship to play college basketball is hard. There are more than 500,000 high school basketball players in the US.

AUSA has a history of more success than any other program in Australia. Our networks in the US college coaching community are the reason why coaches watch our teams play. And the reason why our players get more scholarships.

PLAY IN THE RIGHT TOURNAMENTS

Our experience as an AAU program along with our relationships in the US allow us to know which tournaments college coaches will attend. Giving you the best opportunity to play in front of them.
